Gamekeeper John was kind enough to give me some flatband strips and leather to use on Bill hay's striker s/shot unfortunately I cannot get it to work for me I have posted a video giving as much information as I possibly can.

That slingshot is absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't give up on it.
Lot's of good advice given above. I bet you will be able to trace the problem down.
Is this your first venture over into flatbands? There is a learning curve, I've learned, to all new bands or set-ups or frames.
You amaze me with your accuracy on those fixed-tube shooters. I think if you stick with it, you'll get it figured out.
