1st grade class assignment

15 February 2015 - 12:20 PM

A 1st grade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class. She presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders. Their insight may surprise you. While reading, keep in mind that these are first-graders, 6-year-olds, because the last one is a classic !

Re purposing squirrel tails

16 March 2014 - 06:30 PM

Thought I'd add this while thinking about it. For those of you that hunt squirrels, Mepps fishing lure company buys squirrel tails for their lure making process. go to mepps.com/programs/squirrel-tail/ for the details. Something to keep in mind for next years season

Hello from Northern Minnesota

21 December 2013 - 11:25 AM

good morning all,

I've been bouncing around the forum for some time, so I thought I should Introduce myself. I've ben laid off from work since August(thank god) & looking to get back to it by spring. been into slingshots on & off for yrs with the 1st one a wrist rocket from yrs past & a few home made ones as a kid(quite crude) with red & black bands. love wood working & home repair in my spare time, with ice fishing currently keeping me busy. It's been fun following & contributing to some of the various posts here. I especially would like to thank Bill @ P.P., Perry @ A+, & Nathan @ S-S for the fine slingshots & accesories I have received & used so far. Once the bit draws down a bit I'm hoping to make a few shooter from the multitude of templates available here. as they say in fishing circles... Tight Lines. May be in the slingshot circles......tight shots  The crappies are calling, gotta go.
