Blue is ready to host another shoot at his farm in Pound, VA. We will be gathering at his place on friday September 30 through Sunday October 2.
Plenty of room for camping and hotels nearby in Wise, VA. The Pound community is planning a big celebration supper on saturday evening, so come on out and join us for some slingshot fun and fellowship.
Mr. Skeen has had a tough 2016, but it has not kept him down. Blue is now back on his family property in the mountains of SW Virginia and doing well, but not without his share of life's struggles. After his house burned down in March, he has since suffered two mild heart attacks and the death of a child...but he is still strong, dancing and making slingshots. And for those who don't know, Blue is a helluva dancer!
He would love to hear from folks by phone, and if you care to get his number, just send a PM.
You can send him letters and slingshots to:

We are looking to host another 'Blue Skeen Slingshot Weekend' in Pound, VA this fall, so lookout for a date and put it on your calendar.
Long live slingshots and slingshot folk like our elder statesman of the rubber and forked stick... Blue Skeen!
For those who will be attending the ECST this year and are around on saturday evening, Team SimpleShot will be serving up hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks for kids and adults alike- all free of charge.
We really appreciate all of you, the community, who make slingshots so much fun.
I just wanted to take a moment to let the slingshot community know that our esteemed elder, Blue Skeen, has been hospitalized from a mild heart attack.
He is doing okay and in good spirits. Over the weekend, he traveled by car to his childrens home in Michigan. When he arrived, he was feeling very poorly and his daughter, a nurse, insisted on medical checkup. After being admitted for nausea and dizziness, it was found that he had suffered a heart attack. Fortunately, there is no need for surgery and should be helped with medications. No long term damage was done. Our Blue is tough as a nail!
So...please keep Blue in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers from yet another challenge.
