All I'm going to say is:  "The only interesting slingshot shooting is accurate slingshot shooting" . . . how ever you are best able to achieve that end.  B)

Of course everything in life is a compromise.  ;)

That said, 7/16" steel hits my sweet spot for 'most things slingshot'.  Seems to best satisfy my needs in the combined areas of speed, power, accuracy and flat-shooting . . . Although I do shoot mostly 3/8" steel when target shooting.  And of course marbles and rocks have their respective places depending on the circumstances.

More options equals more fun ya know!

In Topic: What is it about SlingShots that you love the most?

For me its all about shooting and accuracy.  Plus, I love a challenge and slingshots never disappoint!

Shooting a slingshot (or any other weapon) is a perishable skill and requires a lot of practice. I also enjoy the experimentation aspect with different band/tube setups and ammo, finding your sweet spot for the type of target shooting or hunting you want to do.

As Winnie said: "a slingshot turns the whole world into a target".  You can shoot almost anywhere.  Its easily concealable.  Could be used as a defense tool, (I have used one to get rid of troublesome dogs on several occasions).  I love to take long hikes with my slingshot . . . gets me out in nature.  Games and competition with your kids and family.  And as others have said, it can be an enjoyable and relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

I consider mastering the slingshot a valuable and useful skill . . . and far more useful then chasing a little white ball around the green!  ;)
