Cheap 45mm rotary cutting blades.

25 May 2017 - 11:33 PM

Today I found a source for cheap and wicked sharp rotary cutting blades.  I was at Harbor Freight and saw the 2 pack of 45 mm blades with the carpet stuff.  For less than a dollar a blade I figured I'd try them out and see if they were worthwhile.  Well they fit my rotary cutter handle and are super sharp and thus far durable.  Definitely worth looking into if you are near a Harbor Freight.  If you have any questions fire away and I will try to answer them.

Hope this saves someone a few bucks, more money for Theraband lol :)

A few slingshots for trade

11 May 2017 - 10:37 PM

From right to left, a poly sharpshooter from simple shot, a metal dark destroyer- I'm not sure who made it.  Next is a River Rat that I got off ebay it is left hand hold right hand draw and has a palm swell I added a formed pouch and single bands. Finally is a stick shot type that I made from paracord it has a tube set with a Supersure pouch and is ready to go. None of these slingshots have fork hits or other damage.  If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them for you, thanks for stopping by :)

Resurrecting my QB-79

08 May 2017 - 11:08 PM

I have a qb-79 that has been with me for 4 or 5 years. Since I first started shooting it I have maintained that it is more accurate than it has an right to be.  The gun is just easy to shoulder and the factory trigger is light and smooth.

Lately I have been more heavily into slingshots so the 79 sat with out getting much love.  Well about a week ago I went to shoot it and 9 ounce tank was fully empty.  Now granted it had been 6 months since I shot it but it was still a surprise as I have never had a leakage problem with this air rifle before.

Well a little time shopping on ebay and a quick stop at Dick's sporting goods and I'm back in business. Went ahead and up graded the scope mount and added my nice leapers scope. Replaced the offending seals and fitted the full tank.  I also added a LDC {lead dust collector} to the muzzle to make it more back yard friendly (worth the price of 30 dollars to not disturb the neighbors).

I also fabed up a custom bolt handle.  Still on the fence about the cock on opening mod, anyone here have it done to their rifles?  Whats the good bad and ugly?

Lanyards for trade

07 May 2017 - 06:19 PM

I have 4 lanyards that I made up for trade.  I am not looking for anything in particular so let me know what you got and maybe we can trade.  The braided part measures 9 inches and cord stops are included. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks for looking at my ad :)

Electric Cutout Tool

20 March 2017 - 05:53 AM

Hey is does anyone have experience with electric cutout tools?  Basically the generic of the RotoZip cutting tool.

I have one I bought from Harbor Freight and Tools.  It works nicely to cut out stuff from plywood when you do your part.  I am using the RotoZip brand cutting bits in mine.

The question I have is could you use the round-over router type bits like for a dremel tool in it?  The shank is the same size and all, just worried about the rpms.  I think it would be "unpleasant" if one of those bits came apart.

Thanks for your time and input :)
