In Topic: What is the most popular hold for slingshots in tournaments

Int he tournaments that I have been to it appears that thumb brace is the favorite among the contenders.

In the three tournaments that I have attended I would agree with YSYEO. I have adapted accordingly. I've switched from my pinch grip frames to a Cast aluminum Scout and I am more consistent indeed. For what that is worth :P

Yep on the lookout for the smaller one now.

There a great slingshot..I have one..Use 1/16"(thin) gum rubber...straight cut start with 12" long..big leather pouch..

enjoy your new treasure my friend....

OM

I got similar advice from Ghost, already ordered a sheet of the thin gum from Simple Shot. But 12" I normally shoot 6.5. is there a reason so long? I draw to the corner of my mouth

Nice find D! That's a lovely piece :)

Maybe you already know, but there is a nice photo set taken in the early sixties about John Milligan performing trickshots.

Thanks so much for this video.  Wish I knew you.  I am his daughter and he manufactured the smaller one because my hand was so small and we used to practice and shoot together. Thanks for the memories. We had our office in our basement in Detroit.  Barbara Milligan (Karpouskas)

Thanks for sharing Dave, I had never seen one like that.

No Problem, I just can't wait for it to get here :)

Congrats! I was watching that auction as well. I already have the larger milligan, now I'm looking for the smaller one. its a cool slingshot, so simple but so functional!

Thanks, glad you already had one. I lost out on an earlier auction for another one of these :)
