Thanks for the advice Acedoc, I will definately seriously consider that one.

I PM'd Mr. Hays asking the same advice, so will await his reply also.
As the order is not likely until Feb. or March.

I'm thinking metal core, wooden laminate, if possible; and leave him a budget of around $500 U.S.

If it comes in less expensive great, if not well that is what is budgeted for.

Cheers,Allan Leigh

if 500 $ is your budget mr hays will probably make a masterpiece !

mine is simple thick g10 ss and i doubt any bandset i can pull (ever) will cause the material to flex. i as such use single tbg straight cuts with .35 cal lead / marbles and am happy with the rig.

Thanks again Acedoc,

One has to admit their own short comings; and viewing the gallery page I sway from o ne style to another.

Therefore with a budget in mind, along with info. on my hand measurements.

I will most likely leave the decision to Mr. Hays himself.
With confidence that I will in time receive a slingshot which perfectly fits my hand, and shooting style.

Given all his diffent styles are impressive in their own way.

Cheers Allan Leigh

I just have a question?

I ordered a slingshot from these guys over a month ago.

I have not received a slingshot or an answer to my emails for over a month.

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Thanks,

I will stop the emails.

I also glad you responded cause i don't want to talk bad about him or his operation.

I figure only a handful of people would read this and that I could learn from it.

Sorry William.

Sounded like this pre-holiday time was very busy for Mr. Hayes. Last summer it was a good bit over a month before I got mine, but it arrived, and is excellent. The more time they spend doing email notification after email notification, the longer it takes to get the slingshots out.

i have no problems with the service. whatever you ordered you will get,, and i am certain you will be satisfied. If you look at Bill's shooting you will realize that the man is a perfectionist, so any SS he puts his name to is first class. Just be patient your turn will come..

Hello PaintChips,

I've been very busy with the pre and post Christmas rushes and haven't had a lot of time to contribute to this forum.

I see you haven't been able to reach us... I went through all the spam and regular emails and haven't seen anything that's not being answered. Of course with around 50-60 emails a day it is possible something could have been accidently deleted I guess..

Please check to make sure you're using the correct email address: PocketPredator@aol.com and put "In reference to the slingshot I ordered" in the subject line... that'll be sure to get it taken care of.

Hello Bill,

I sent the email to PocketPredator@aol.com.

I included all my information so you could cross reference my info and we could get this figured out.

I wanted to say that I used Paypal to pay and maybe that would be a good way to attach me to the transaction.

Hope to hear from you soon...

B

Soooooo,

My slingshot was lost in the mail for a month.  Sorry Bill you think I would have checked that first.

Amazing slingshot.

Ranger

50 ft

1/4" stainless ball

1" hole in an aluminum can

It kind of made me change my draw a little.

After I gave in my accuracy went up 10%.

My next purchase will be from PP going to save up some cash.

Serious slingshots...

Brandon

Allan: I have both economy polymer and G10 forks from Bill. Both are rock solid and nearly indestructible. I do like aluminum cores, but if it's for durability's sake, rather than looks, it's not needed with Pocket Predator. Fork hits barely mark the "economy" polymer (it's good stuff and light as a feather) and slide right off the G10. I shoot .490 lead and 1/2-5/8" steel and PP forks stand up to it well. I need to get a Scout, but Bill makes the nicest forks I've had the pleasure to shoot. OTOH, I really like the aluminum core on my custom Gopher Slingshots fork. It's great, just not needed for strength with starboard (Bill's polymer) or G10.

If you guys are planning to buy one of Bill's slingshots, don't hesitate.

I have a G10 Seal Sniper and i love it.

Accurate, strong and great mass for stable shooting.

well , my wait is over and the package has landed.it contains a design by Mr Bill called the Nightfury and spare bandset and pouches. as i am looking at a month long visit to my farm with lots of targets and open space i gather the rotary cutter will be kept busy.still to get my hands on the ss as she has arrived at my home but according to prelim report by brother it lives up to the hype generated by Mr Bills name.am posting a pic of the ss as sent by mr hays as the pics my bro sent me are not doing justice to the ss.x111.jpgmore when i get the ss broken in and can take pics with a better cam.regards
