My son Arjun got a nice surprise in the mail when Smitty sent him tournament winner pattern plus 3 other slingshots. Arjun had asked him for a pattern but he ended up with more than the pattern. A very generous guy he is. Thank you Smitty. We are happy to be part of such a great family.

We finally did a board cut from his pattern that he sent.

I ended up reducing the handle to fit Arjun's hand. Truth be told that ever since I made this, I have been shooting this frame and even put my own design down. This frame looks rather unique in a sense that one fork looks bigger than the other when held straight but magic happens when you aim to shoot. It levels off reducing wrist pressure and it's probably the most accurate slingshot I have ever shot. The thick body of it absorbs a lot of the after shock after release making this design stable. Shortening the handle scrunches the fingers and I seem to get better support. I reduce the handle and made it thinner a bit so index, ring and pink can almost wrap around. Put a hole for a Lanyard and I have been shooting this ever since.

Arjun is making a similar one that drew for but reducing the width a bit as it is a little too wide from his hand.

Here are the pics:

"Tournament Winner" is very unique design of Smitty, I was looking at it since he first posted here, I think he spent lot of time to design and fine tune it. I have not asked his pattern because he is selling that, even though he is very nice and generous to share the pattern with you.

Good work Peresh

I picked up a Tournament Winner at the ECST and because of this post I finally banded it up and shot it today.
What a cool slingshot! It is interesting how the forks line up when you shoot it. I don't hold full gangsta anymore, I hold at about a 60 degree cant now and it still lines up great. It was very accurate for me from the first shot. The forks are so tall that it reminds me of shooting a Trumark or Saunders.
Great work on this one Smitty and a very nice jesture giving one to such a promising young shooter!

I'm about to make up another cut out but this time add a resting place for the pinky. What I want is a grove for it while the middle and ring rest around the stem.

A quick photoshop change is the area I'll be adding a pinky place.

Good for you, Peresh, making that slingshot for your son and keeping him involved with you -- and kudos to Smitty, he is truly a brother to us all!

Thank you so much guys for the kind words, but I feel a bit selfish, because I got a big kick out of sending some stuff to a guy who is excited to be involved with slingshots.
