Offered for your consideration, comments, suggestions, and advice. I continue to have difficulty launching a standard 30" arrow from a slingbow using an archery nock to interface w/ the slingbow.
The arrow is based on the Filipino pana. 12" long and fletched w/ 3, 3" turkey feathers, 100 gn. field point. The nock is a bent paperclip to attached to the string on the slingbow. I attached the nock to the front of the arrow, near the point, w/ whipped dental floss. The arrow is gripped on the back end, near the fletching. The grip needs work!
Slingbow is a modified Trumark WS-1. 4 office rubberbands, gypsy tabs. The string is a piece of cotton butcher's twine.
This design is showing promise. I am able to launch the arrow fairly accurately at this point. I am not able to get as good a draw and as clean a release with the current grip design.
Looking for advice regarding grip design.
The floor is open for questions and comments.
