That is a great looking piece of wood and huge...that's what she said....but I wouldn't use it for a full sized frame.

With the rot being right in the middle of the forks, I wouldn't trust it myself.

You could possible go under it and make a small frame from it as it appears to be large enough or a PFS if it is still in the fork area.

Well i put double 1745 tubing on me fav natural that i collecting. And just made another ready for tubing thanks to me step-daughters tree lol..Not the best quality but long as they shoot as good as me am happy ;)I left the knot on the back of the 1 that's tubed up as my little finger rests nicely on it and makes the hold that little bit stronger ;)The 1 thats not tubed was just fast dried then lightlty sanded and few coats of yacht varnish after a little modification ;)

Nice looking naturals! What stands out to me is that they all have wide folks which opens up several design possibilities. Looking forwarded to seeing some banded up and shooting reports. They are an impressive collection.

Well guys i have tubed all of the naturals up.I have blooded 2 so far as the rest i have to take out for a few nights hunting ;)

Very happy with the 2 i have tubed up ;) They shoot as good as me which is all i want from them.

But i shot something i never ever thought i would, and don't know if i am allowed to stick it on here or any other catty site?

I shot it on instinct thinking it was a female pheasant as the light i was using was on dim.

I shot quick and straight to the head. But when i dropped it i found out it was NOT a female pheasant, but something much much BIGGER ;(

Let me know if i can stick a pic up on here ok?

It's a pretty big hunting bird with pretty long sharp claws and strong legs and strong beak for tearing and pulling on meat etc etc .

Thanks guys ... P.S i had to finish this bird off with another 6 or so 8mm hexy nut which i filled the centre with LED...Strongest and toughest thing i have ever had to finish humainly as i possibly could... ;(
