Well, after a few fails, I am happy to present a couple that did turn out.

Both of these were harvested from the dog park, too small for full sized frames but make nice PFS or small plinkers.

Full of grain, knots, character and void of any cracks. They were hand made, carved, filed, sanded, oiled and waxed. Finally waxing was applied yesterday, so they got banded up today.

I've been using my little "Swiss Made" carving knife with these frames, as opposed to my Opinel with the larger frames. It is much easier to control when working with a smaller frame.

I absolutely love it when the eye of the forks is dead centre after carving. The smile in the middle of the one, is an added bonus:

Thanks guys.  Yeah, the one on the right is ultra comfortable.  It resembles another one I did a while back, but that one was a touch bigger.

I never saw the shark in it, but when you added that fin and those teeth, it made me laugh (out loud at work no less).  I see it now, with the shape and the knot for the eye.

Good stuff, Bruce!

I really like the meatiness of the "Shark* (haha) and the sort of two-tone grain that came out with your finishing.

every time you use it, the jaws soundtrack will be playing in your head now.

Not a big fan of small frames myself, but man you have that magic touch with naturals and I always enjoy your work. Both are very very beautiful, well done !

Love those organic's!  Slingshots, pure in form with beautiful finish, it would be a debate on what could be better. -CD
