Well this is by far the hardest shooting slingshot I now have! I measured the draw at almost 40lbs, and it proves that when shooting. Very hard on the wrist and forearm... but that's OK. I love the power and simplicity of it, so thanks Jörg you do awesome work!

I think I'm actually going to cut the threads further up the eye bolts and lower the forks a bit, that should help a bit.

Now I need some decent leather to make a better pouch, and what I really need is some heavy ammo!

Wow that looks very robust! I've been wanting to create a bent-wire slingshot with a Fimo grip - I think that they look awesome! ^_^

Love the handle design... but one small thing, if you add a bit to the back so that it snugs into the thumb webbing and extends back a couple of inches... you'll get a lot more support. Almost as much as you get with a wrist brace.

An extension like on the back of the one below:

To the front and high up, if you add a bit of a swell shaped a bit like a trigger, that'll help too.

Thats a really clever idea,it would help some of the young lads starting up to pull the stronger bands, jeff

It's like a handgun and would help to reduce wrist torque.

Hey, hey hey... are you even allowed to mention the word "handgun" in Hong Kong?!?

Seriously though, yes it is along the same principle as target pistol.

Do you think that could potentially constitute a 'wrist-brace' from a legal perspective? Posted Image

Well... I wouldn't put anything past a politician... but this does not reach the wrist, merely the webbing and meat of the thumb.
So I would certainly not call it a wrist brace, since it isn't on the wrist or beyond.

Thanks for the comments on MY slingshot! Its so much fun to shoot with all that power!!

As far as adding to the handle with some kind of brace... No thanks, I like regular hammer grip with no brace to see how much I can hold onto. Jörg has some serious power to be able to hammer grip what he does, I'm not nearly as strong as him, but I like the idea of holding onto all the power with no brace. Hammer grip no less!!

I can't wait to figure out which one of Jörg's slingshots I want to TRY and build next, they are all so nice!!
