I actually agree with the idea of wearing eye protection. I was being lazy. I always wore a helmet when I rode motorcycles. Did not think I needed a helmet when I rode my bicycle, until I went head first over the handlebars on a crushed gravel path. Bought a bike helmet (and a bike with wider tires) after that. I never ride my bike without my helmet now. I appreciate the comments about no glasses, and will use them in the future. I don't think an eye injury will be as forgiving as my skull was when I bounced it off the bike path.
