New member, no slingshot yet. I'm leaning toward a Chief AJ model. I plan on target shooting in the backyard and possibly some hunting, so I'll probably go with the red bands. Opinions welcome.

I have a chief aj qp with the red bands. Pretty awesome slingshot. However if you want my honest opinion I would go with A+, Saunders, or one of Flatbands. Or get the AJ and one of the others. They are cheap enough.

I am thinking a QP would cover all bases. Please elaborate.

Like I said the QP is awesome. It shoots nice and accurate. Go ahead and buy one. You will not be disappointed in any regard.

Thanks to all! I dipped my toe in the water today. I stopped at Big 5 and got a Trumark  FSX-FO and an FS-1, plus an extra RR-T band and ammo. I thought I'd try a couple of sighting systems out and besides, now wifey has one too!

Went out catfishing last night. I tried out the FS-1 and could hit a 1 liter soda bottle about 50% of the time from 10 paces. Can't wait to set up an indoor target and get serious!

Good job. Will need to be able to hit it 99% of the time at that range. :)
