First of all, this forum is evil! I can't stop shooting and making slingshots!!

Thanks Joerg, your videos are awesome and your designs are even better! This slingshot was so simple to make, and seemed to powerful that I had to throw a few buck into some hardware and built it! Unfortunately my first attempt with modeling clay didn't work out. I'm planning another handle soon.

But even without the handle I had to take a few shots at a can! Well my first pouch was very thin at the ends and ripped fairly quickly... I got a few shots off with this one before it ripped! I obviously need some better leather? I rode with this jacket for years, good thing I never tested it on the asphalt!!

I assume my holes made with a knife contributed to the further ripping of the pouch? I need a leather punch, but they seem cheap enough.

Also, Flatband, your inbox is full! PM me if your read this, I would like to just buy some quality pouches from you for now to get shooting ASAP!!

I have a similar design. Somehow make the handle a little fatter and your golden. A slingshot that will last a lifetime.

Maybe I should worry about a pouch that won't rip on the first recoil before I worry about a handle?

I can't pull it hard enough to loose grip yet... But seriously, a modeling clay handle will be redone soon. Hopefully by then I have good pouches.

Do you have a michaels craft store near you? I got both the leather that I use and the punch there. Has been working out great.

Yes! I actually stopped in tonight, but they were closed already. I plan on getting more modeling clay, some leather and a punch from them tomorrow. Thanks!
