I have but was not impressed but I have never tried some of the new tech, big bores with broadheads. I have taken several birds and one squirrel.

Just Grackles & starlings for pest control; never risked losing a meal with one though...I've got a few Cold Steel .625 big-bores, & enjoy them immensely...

Before they were banned here I'd spent countless hours nailing mice to the walls of grain sheds.

40 cal target darts were the go as you didn't want them bleeding everywhere like they would with a broad head.

Banned?! Wow, you mean some place has it worse than us in New York??? I'm actually allowed to have a blowgun...little else, bur a blowgun is OK! Though I better recheck, cause this just doesn't compute...

Yeah, 1996 was a bad year for fun loving Australians.

Wrist brace Slingshots, balisongs, most semi auto rifles, all autos, blowguns, auto knives, handguns above .38, bb guns, crossbows.... The list goes on. All canned in a single move.

On the bright side, thanks to social networking online, late last year we've been able to get the ban on airsoft lifted in one state (SA) and are now working on the rest.

Hrawk,

What did the bans do for crime? Did it help at all?

Wow that sucks hrawk, what was the motivation? BB guns really? and does the blow gun ban mean that 6 foot lengths of copper pipe, ear plugs and nails are all illegal? :(

Motivation was a massacre at Port Arthur, Tasmania, where 35 were killed and 23 wounded.

Similar to what is happening in the US, the powers that be use these events to push through harder laws while the public is still in shock.

As for the copper pipe and stuff, shhhh, don't give them ideas.

You have to be over 18 to buy them and not have a criminal record.

WoW..just,...wow. I'm probably wrong here, as world culture is not my forté, but don't the aboriginals there use blowguns? Any exemptions? Congratulations on the air gun ban lift at least...I'm going to suggest Mr.Cuomo & Bloomberg take up residence there, I think they'd love it...
