Was browsing at the newsstand and noticed the new issue of Backwoodsman Magazine(July/August 2010 Vol 31 No.4). Started paging through and saw a name I actually recognized!? Sealed the deal by purchasing it just because our own TexShooter has a paragraph in the "Letters" column. The whole magazine is worth the money and they do have a lot of info that most slingshot enthusiasts would/will enjoy -so if you see the magazine check it out.

Glad to see so many other forum members have this magazine too! I too noticed that tex had an add in the back pages of the magazine. I would recommend it to everyone who is into guns, knives and the do it yourself ways. You cant get me away from this magazine when a new one comes in the mail. I just love it

I have written four articles for Backwoodsman three have been in past issues and present one may be in the next issue. Charlie (the owner) will make that determination. I did not know that the letter would be in this issue until I saw it as it was just one that I responded to Charlie with. Two that were in the past magazine issues were on slingshots and one was on my catch box. The upcoming article will be on slingshots also. I have also had a couple of articles published in past Engineering publications and one in a company publication. I own two patents and several of my designs (I don’t know how many) were patented by companies that I worked for in the past. Not too bad for an dumb old country boy with a high school education! -- Tex

People should never underestimate "dumb old country boys" as their ingenuity is what helped to build the USA!!!! My own Father (Daddy to most Texans) is that kind of man. He has always amazed me!!!!
Great job Tex!!!
