below is a vid from games keeper john, it is very telling how fork width can effect your shot speed, i have felt it in shooting different types of ss's but without a chrony it was just a guess, hope you enjoy.

230 vs 260 ... 13% increase. HUGE diff in fork width.

Seems to me that diff in fork width for "realistic" frame designs is much much less.

So, imo, speed diff due to fork width would be very small.

i agree, but i have felt a bit more zip out of my PFS's than my wider fork varieties, its just interesting to me how many factors play into shooting a simple sling shot
