I have always been around bows . Grew up up shooting a 1955 Ben Pearson 2 pc Long Bow. I have never owned nor shot a compound. All of my bows have been Traditional. Several years ago I decided to combine the two.

On my bow the riser is a customized/modified Ben Pearson compound riser, The limbs are PSE Pro Elite CF. Custom built, FF string, three arrow quiver, stabilizer This is a very fast recurve. With 392gr full length Gold Tips and straight fletched 2" blazers and paper tuned, I was getting 198+ fps, a bit faster at times.. At one time, I had a "Peep Eliminator Sight" and single pin. I am more of a instinct/no sight shooter so I removed it. It is now a bare bow except for the Whisker Biscuit rest. "I do love the Biscuit".The custom made limb skins, arrow wraps, shows the Wolf Dog( Red Cloud) )RIP),. in my avatar.

I built my Son's bow using a riser off an old Bear BlackBear compound. The CF limbs are Winn Winact. His bow pulls at 58lbs The Whisker Biscuit works very well on this bow as well. The custom snake skin paint was fun and looks great.

Both bows shoot smooth and fast and are very accurate. well as accurate as the shooter.

I am assuming you shoot fingers, does the biscuit give enough side support for good arrow flight, I would not have thought it would? What spine arrows, with what weight point and what poundage are the bows, are the risers warfed? A whisker biscuit and blazers for a finger shooter??????

Here is my bow it is a tradtech titan, I have beeen shooting for while myself.

I no longer shoot with the pin sight..I do shoot fingers, have tried tab but don't like. I got the same response from many about the biscuit, but on both of the bows, the biscuit works great. i have not paper tuned my Son's bow but mine is. With the arrow nocked it looks like the nock point is really high, but is perfect.

I joined trad Talk several years ago and read alot about the Warf's. I did both of these my self. I caught alot of grief when I posted that I was going to build, using the Pearson riser. Everyone said that I just needed to send everything to Bob and pay him to do it. Well that aint me. I modified and fabricated the Pearson into a real fine bow. My son's was built using the Bear riser so everything was pretty simple.

The Pearson/PSE is 63lbs and the Bear/Winn is 58lbs.

It has been several years since I have looked at the numbers so I'm not sure on the spine. The arrows are full lenght Gold Tip Hunter expedition with 125gr tip.

Here is a pict of the Bear

Very cool and nice job, ILF is the only way to go IMO. This is what is great about the internet learning so much, I agree with a lot of the time the only way to find out if something will work is to try it or build it and see. Chris
