I'm announcing this comp a little earlier than it actually starts to give everybody a heads up and some time to plan ahead.

This will be a TUTORIAL competition.

The comp will start on the 15th of February to coincide with the end of Slingshot of the Month and run till the end of the month, the 29th of February.

To qualify you need to post something to the Slingshot Tutorials sub forum between the 15th and the 29th of February.

This can be a pictorial, a build log, a video, a step by step set of instructions, a how to shoot class, anything really.

The winner will be chosen by me based on:
  • Originality of idea
  • Quality of content
  • Quality of presentation
  • Usefulness to the community
Each entry will be given a score of 1 to 5 for each category. The highest overall score wins.

The prize : A custom made clear acrylic slingshot, your choice of design banded up to your specifications. Made with love and polished to perfection. The design must be your own or something selected from the Shared Design section.

Here's some ideas to get you started:
  • How to remove the bark from a natural
  • Sanding to to the perfect finish
  • Tying bands the quick and easy way
  • Making pouches
  • Laminating timbers
  • Choosing the perfect bands for your ammo
  • How to build a band tying jig
  • Using your chrony
  • Matching bands to your ammo
  • How to prepare for a slingshot tournament
  • Selecting materials for a slingshot
  • How to post pics to Slingshot Forum
  • Using tags on your posts
  • How to take the perfect photo of your slingshot
  • Band grooves, are they needed?
  • Tips on designing a slingshot
  • Drying natural forks the easy way
  • How to select the perfect fork
  • Adding colour to your slingshot
Get to it people and put that thinking cap on, looking forward to seeing what you can come up with!

Don't suppose ripping your leg open whilst drifting on a tricycle would count would it? Sad...I'm good at that.

It's a win, win, for everyone, super idea! Even if you don't win the slingshot we should be getting some good tutorials
which I know I'm very happy to have oh so often, on one, of two, of the best forums on the internet!

I don't know enough about anything to make a tutorial, but I'd like to see some in-depth instruction on anchor points, release technique, and aiming.

Hey Slinger.. I'm a noob too but still gonna have a crack. It doesn't have to be a slingshot making tutorial.. It could be hunting tips, paracord wrapping, anything u can share really :)
