Well here's my first attempt at a laminate, it's white oak with an american walnut core.

Any feedback is appreciated.

The slingshot is perfect of course, but --man! -- you can't beat that combination of woods. I love it! :bowdown:

It looks stunning! Great, especially for a first try. The only things I can think of in terms of improvement are adding a lanyard hole, and drilling holes in the forks for Chinese tube attachment. Those are both matters of preference, however, and you definitely have all the skills down.

lanyards are for sallies. chinese tubes are not for everyone. these frames are perfect!

Thanks for all the kind words guys, really makes a difference to get good feedback once you have put the work in. As for lanyard holes I'm with popshot on that thought. And drilling holes for chinese tubes isn't really necessary when you shoot OTT :)
