has anyone tried to use a Pango pipe cleaning agent to propell rhe darts?
The pango is pipe/drain cleaner that uses compressed air up to 6*10-7 kpsi. there are various adaptors to fit it to any opening and
it´s triggered just like a pistol.

i imagine that perfect to use with a blowgun in order to aim from eye level, eliminate movement from blowing by mouth, even to "shoot from the hip". since the pressure available is much bigger than that from breath one may probably shorten the blowgun significantly and still reach sufficient power and accuracy.
the only crucial point could be the tight attachment of the pango, which makes it clumsy to reload.
and also intereting: are there legal restrictions to storing energy for a blowgun in the form of compresed air?

Saw an pango ad last night, so if this would work i´d instantly revive my teenage blowgun shooting carreer since it felt like the right thing only lacking power and accuracy.

Fabricate a coupling, using an air-line, or water line quick disconnect fittings for the gun attachment at the mouthpiece for reloading.

I saw a TV documentary where they lightly touched on the subject of blowguns used by special forces that were utterly lethal & silent at over 100m (that's metres, not miles BTW ha ha)
