Hi all, I'm Jono, newbie from Wales,
New to catapults and slingshots, I'm a Bushcraft instructor and knife maker by trade.
Always been into hunting, but air rifle hunting.
Spending most of my time in the woods, lugging an air rifle round with all my bushcraft kit is a nightmare :(
So after the past few months of studying slingshots decided I'm going to make one and use it for hunting instead,
so will be bugging all of you for advice over the next few weeks lol.
ATB Jono

Hi Jono, welcome to the forum. I hope to see some knives and, of course, catapults from you. Bob.

Hello from east Tennessee, US. I'm an air rifle nut myself, most of my shooting is done from an open window at rabbits, but, I the same as you find it difficult to carry my rifle through the bush nearby. I got into slingshots for the same reason, and I'm sure you know but you don't nessesarily have to pierce you quarry with the projectile. That's what I like about slingshots/catapults. Pretty much as long as you hit em' with a heavy enough ball, the cuncussive force doea all the work for you, plus, there can be little to no flesh damage (a plus if you're hunting for eating). I'm sure you'll find everything you need to know about slinging here. (personal qestion....I'm a Jones, trying to trace my roots. You have a lot of Jones's in Wales?)

Welcome to the forum, mate! I came into making slingshots via the bushcraft route, too.

I hope to see some bush-craft stuff from you in the Off-Topic forum.

Welcome aboard. Grab some multiplex, print yourself out a few designs from the shared designs forum and hit the workshop. How are things in the land of Catatonia, The Super Furry Animals and The Alarm?

Hi there, I only hunt to eat. and to your personal question, I know in my village there must be at least 2-300 Jones's so I'd times that at least by 10-15 Wales, I'm a Denyer myself, Not exactly a Welsh name Lol
