So far I've had good results carrying 12 steel balls at a time. 18 might work, but anything beyond that is definitely going to end up with you losing half your balls. Thoughts?

I had thought of doing something like that usung my old stock class paintball tube and a magnet to make sure only one ejected at a time. I like your idea more.

Thanks guys. Meanwun, it's funny because I was going to do the exact same thing until I happened upon a friend's video of him doing a 12 gram change using one of these. I've been using it a lot lately, and have found 18 to be the best amount to carry at a time.

How did I never think of that for the 12 grams. I also found a small parts magnetic bracelet at rural king today for $5 dollars. It only had one small area for it though.

I have a few large neodymium magnets which i put in my pocket and stick the steel balls directly to my pocket from the outside.

I dont hunt but its nice to have easy access when shooting my ss at my catch box.

If you check out my gallery, there's a picture of my breakaway, which--when laden with ammo--really helps steady my hand. It's just a neo-d magnet, electrical tape, and a bit of rawhide. I never go out without it.

Some very cool ideas using magnets in this thread. I haven't really noticed much of a difference shooting with or without this, since it's fairly lightweight and my slingshot is also really easy to draw out. However if I pile more ammo on or start stacking these on my forearm(getting another one soon from a friend) in conjunction with a stronger slingshot there might be some noticeable changes.

you could use magnet balls instead so you can hold more ammo.

and a magnetic necklace would have less chance of them falling off
