Had a chunk of cypress given to me by a friend and decided to get jiggy w/ the scrollsaw....
50/50 linseed oil and turp really snapped the grain out.
Never worked w/ cypress before, but it machines great.......haven't stopped sneezing though.Attached File  IMG-20120114-001331.jpg   194.9K   1 downloadsAttached File  IMG-20120114-001391.jpg   189.16K   1 downloadsAttached File  IMG-20120114-001401.jpg   123.02K   2 downloads

they really took to the 50/50 mix ! they look like furniture . the last photo fooled me a bit, the slingshots blend in with the table real good to where i thought the white paper was the cut outs for some reason .

Gracias Alf, I think I've found the perfect frame for my gorilla grip, it's super comfortable in hand.

"GORILLA-GRIP"

that sounds interesting, do you have a gorilla?
what are the approximate measurements of your pieces? width and height?

I would like to see a picture that illustrates how to grab these monsters

great work!!

I printed one off (Tsunami) and I think I'll keep it the size it came out which is 2 1/2 between the forks, and about 6 inches long.
It would be a monster any bigger. :) Thanks for the designs, they are great!
