Greets and salutations. I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season right now.
I'm Chris from Jacksonville FL. I'm more or less a newbee when it comes to slingshots, and yes I've owned a crossman and daisey over the years, but I never really viewed them more than plinking fun. What I'm seeing on your site is pretty darn neat. I've been trolling through for about a month now and I'm just amazed. From the inginuity, to designs, uses, and custom models - they are all very cool. I feel there is a lot to learn here and plenty to read then emulate.

I am usually out hiking and foraging on my days off, and I think I'll be slipping my slingshot into my gear pretty soon.

-Shade and water,
Chris

HAHAHAHAHAHH! Well, you are going to have to do better than that. My father is a retired Navy Lt. and he even shudders to my humor and antics when I get going.

Thanks for the reply Chris I'm usually around here lately reading the forums and learning as much as I can, have used and carried a wrist rocket for years but it never crossed my mind that the slingshot word was so big until I came across the slingshot channel on YouTube. Since then can't get enough guess I'm hooked. Any way have a great day stay safe and be well.

I'm in the ditto too for much of what you have said. I knew of "store bought" big-boy slingshots, but nothing like what the crafting world was ACTUALLY making. I like to build small projects and all of varrying fields of study, but I sit awe struck and pleasantly pleased by what I see the masters doing here. I've always liked functional art. ;)

I get a chance to field test them tomorrow. So for now I have to wait. The wife did not like me zipping hickory nuts through the house on a practice swing.
I think i'll be working on the apachie, under and over the should straight throw and then the Greek, forward aimed pouch then spin to release. I figure as long as I don't whack myself unconcious it'll be a good day.
