secret sata sling help

Right i have finished all shaping and cutting and put a epoxy glue finish on it but it still looks the same how do i put a shinny finish on the sling and darken. The wood but still being able to see the grain of the borad cut ahhh helppp

Sand it back with a 1000 or 1200 grit paper.

Then polish up with a bees wax or something similar.

Yes a good fine sand, I start with 180 grit and work up to usually 400 grit, but you can certainly go higher... i personally like a laquer or polyeurathene gloss coat...three to 4 coats with a spray pack...

Wet sanding will help save on abrasives. Epoxy will clog up your paper quickly, using water with a waterproof abrasive works really well and provides a better finish.

All my acrylic stuff has to be sanded wet if I want more then 10 seconds from the paper.
