Just a note for other newbies confused by the expert's arcane stuff about tapers and bands. This is a small natural ± 4" x 1.6" (inside fork), latex 0.05, 2 cm x 1 cm x 40 cm (butterfly). Light pouch from gardening glove. It seems to shoot harder than my 2 cm x 2 cm x 30 cm band set with a heavier pouch. Maybe it's the taper and light pouch. Scruffy but it works for me. It's guava fork, ends sealed with wood glue and now several hundred shots down the road. My point is don't sweat over the details, that can come later, make something and play with it.
