Passed through there all the time, went to U of M in Missoula. Used to know an old black powder shooter went by the name of "Rattler" from there. Living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia these days.

Yeah, go find a chokecherry or serviceberry tree and make a natural. Don't think you have to buy anything, the "used car lot" syndrome really shouldn't be encouraged. If you like tubes go with Trumark which you can find there, unless you use a long draw in which case you might want to look into Chinese tubes, which are also good in a short draw I'm told(I don't have experience with them though). You can make chain bands from #64 rubber bands from any office supply, or you can get the premium Platinum crepe #32 rubber bands online. Nico has a good blog on making these. If you want flats you will have to make them or buy them, plenty of stuff to read on here for that.

If you really want to buy, I'd recommend you try making some frames and bands on your own and find out what you like so you can make an informed decision rather than make an impulse purchase that you might be sorry for later.

Welcome. I agree with you on how easy it was to get hooked on slingshots.
