Greetings chaps,

I'm in the UK and a keen air pistol shooter and tinkerer. Plinking, HFT, FT, Silhouette, 10 metre
I also have a few air rifles for pest control, mainly feral pigeon.

I basically enjoy firing an aimed projectile via a pistol, rifle, shotgun, crossbow, bow, etc

My other hobby is walking and day packing and this is where the idea of slingshots is.
It's not really practical to use a airgun however a slingshot takes up little space and weighs very little.

If I'm on the moors or in a wood a slingshot appears to be the perfect choice!

I really enjoy Joerg Sprave's Slingshot Channel. I'm also interest in a slingbow for my second purchase/project.

I've just ordered a slingshot from Gamekeeper John and now I need to find a supply of low priced ammo in the Lancashire area. Presume I'd use 9mm ? Any suggestions on a shop?

Cheers
Ian

Hi Welcome
Buy some lead ball fishing moulds of ebay 12mm and make your own ammo-cheap and easy to do.

I don't have a advice for buying ammo in the uk but still welcome to the forum. I used to play around with airguns and stuff too but there is nothing more satisfying for me then using a slingshot or bow for hunting. It feels much more natural to me, let alone that you can find emergency ammo if you run out of just everywhere.

Welcome to the forum, mate! You made a good choice buying from John. The ammo situation is a bit more expensive over there, but smooth stones are free if you can find them.

Thanks for the replies and warm welcome chaps.
Has anyone had experience of the balls from ebay overseas sellers.
Are there good and bad balls?

Forgot to mention I'm a sales manager for a timber company. I sell joinery/construction grade hardwood and softwood. No exotics so I'll be having a good look at all that slingshot eye candy!

Cheers
Ian

Wellcome to the forum. As for ammo, a good practice ammo is bags of glass marbles, I get a 100 for £1.30

Hi Ian, welcome to the Forum. About ammos I may tell you a wholesaler in Italy if you like. I buy iron polished balls from him, 10mm - 2500 ammos for 35 euros, then you should consider shipping. Cheers, Bob.
