IMAGES & PORNOGRAPHY
Images and video posted on this site should be PG-13, both from a sexual and a violence perspective. What is and is not Pornography is a subjective judgment. Before posting any picture, ask yourself if it’s something you can see in a magazine you don’t have to be 18 years old to buy. If the picture would only appear in a magazine kept behind the counter, don’t post it. If you post pornography, in all probability, you will be banned from the board. Watermarked pictures (taken from a porn site with a reference to the porn site included in the picture) will be deleted. Do not LINK sites with the above subject matter.
Topics which include revealing photographs must be accompanied by a NSFW (Not Safe For Work) warning.
RELIGION, RACE, POLITICS, GENDER, AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION
Discussion of these topics is acceptable when people remain civil. Everyone knows discussion of these topics requires respect for the sensitivities of others. Insulting members on the basis of political belief, sex, race, sexual orientation, or religion will draw immediate censure. This also applies to jokes on these subjects that could be found offensive. Frequent violations of this rule can lead to time-out or banning. This rule is liberally interpreted by the moderators, so be careful.
HIJACKING TOPICS
Do not hijack threads. Hijacking is rude and unacceptable. If you hijack a thread and find your post has been deleted, you have no need to wonder why.
FLAMING AND ARGUING
Please treat each other with respect. If someone asks a question you believe is “dumb” don’t post a sarcastic reply. We all have our moments and none of us was born an expert in mechanical engineering, or any other subject for that matter.
If you have a problem or disagreement with a particular member, please keep that discussion private (e.g. by PM, AIM, ICQ or email). If you feel that a particular member has crossed a line and you want some action taken, report the post to a moderator via PM. Please don't be a drama queen by posting petty grievances for the whole world to see.
SPAMMING & SELLING
Anyone spamming this forum will be summarily banned. There will be no warning.
No pyramid scheme crap and no "free i-pod" crap... please. No writing scripts so you can make tons and tons of identical posts in a row screwy.gif. Tons of 3-word posts just to drive up your post count is obnoxious. It's somewhat alright in "Off-Topic" but it doesn't belong in any other forum.
We have the "Personal For Sale Classifieds" if you want to sell stuff that you personally own. If you, in any way, are a business or plan on making or purchasing product(s) for sale, you must contact AaronC about becoming a vendor on the forum. The vendors keep the forum going. Posting for profit without becoming a vendor will lead to your threads being deleted and, eventually, banning in the event of a failure to comply.
BANNED MEMBERS
Those that were banned were banned for a reason. As such, do not post quotes from them, pictures of them, etc. While they may be let back on the site in the future, during their banishment they are to be considered persona non grata.
