Nice work Rapier, which wood is it?
Its Spotted Gum Mr. Bob. Found it in the state forrest in Bermagui N.S.W. Australia. It was off a tree felled as part of bush managment. They do this to reduce fuel in fire prone areas. It was already dried when I found it and the bark just flaked off and left this great texture.
