Screenshots
My shooting has mostly been from about 7 feet, into a catch box in my bedroom doorway. (small apartment) I made this target for this purpose. Maybe others would like to shoot at these small dots also.

What's New in Version II (See full changelog)

  • I added a screenshot, so people could see the target and decide if they want it.

Being a relative newby, my elevation adjustments for various ranges are iffy at best. How do you handle switching from close, indoor range to field range, without many adjustment shots?

     Hi Jim,

I've only shot at short range myself, except for a few shots at about 14 feet, (which is quite close also). I'm sure there are plenty of people on the forum that can answer that question though, (or already have).  I read a statement by Tex Shooter, which if I recall correctly, said the way to become a good sling shooter is by shooting different weights of shot a different distances.

My personal sling shooting is for one purpose only: Rattlesnakes at close quarters, when I'm out walking. Two summers ago I came across a rattlesnake on 7 different occasions.  Most often this is when I'm walking my dog, and I want to be able to do something other than start searching for big rocks to lob at the rattlesnake. So close up shooting is all I'm really interested in.

   Ralph
