Saunders Falcon II Review

Posted by Tex-Shooter , 18 March 2010 · 346 views

I ran some test On the Saunders falcon II to day. It was 62 degrees F. and I was shooting a 130 grain 1/2 inch diameter ball. My draw length is 34 1/2 inches with a Falcon II. Here are the shooting results in Feet per second and in foot pounds of energy. My Target bands 182 FPS & 9.56 FPE. With Saunders standard bands 189 FPS & 10.34 FPE. My Field bands 197 FPS & 11.21 FPE. My Express bands 214 FPS & 13.22 FPE. All of these bands pull very easy. Six foot pounds of energy are what is recommended to make clean kills on small game like rabbits or squirrels. This is very accurate and is a very fine shooting slingshot. The only thing that mine has added is one of my grips and a cloth pad on the wrist brace. Here are some of the advantages of the Saunders II slingshot (I am not selling the Falcon II as of now) -- TexSaunders Wrist-Rocket® Falcon II™ Slingshot Advantages• Easy pull patented twin flat bands for speed and power• True over the top style for better sight picture and less recoil• Pos-Center pouch for speed and accuracy• Change bands in seconds with the Kwik-Snap band replacement system• A engineered fail safe design for increased safety• A strong steel frame with the handle away from the bands• 2 1/2 inch extended fork for better sight picture and power• Will break down quickly to stow away easily• Ramp style Tips for better band life• A great value with a MSLP of $21.95• Made in the USA by A company that supports the Slingshot sport• Added accessories such as Black Mamba™ bands and a Pipper™ Sight• Readily available sources for Saunders band sets and shot.• Availability of after market accessories like my grips and band sets.
